Meghalaya FAQ

Before you book.

Is September a good time for Shillong?

Yes if you want an end-of-monsoon feel. Expect lush scenery and some rain rather than guaranteed clear skies.

How many days are enough?

Five nights is a good first trip. Add nights if you want a slower Cherrapunji stay or more remote nature stops.

Is Dawki water always crystal clear?

No. River clarity depends heavily on rainfall and recent weather conditions.

Can elderly travellers do Meghalaya?

Yes with a road-focused itinerary and selective sightseeing. Long root-bridge treks can be skipped or replaced with easier viewpoints.
